What the app does
Three things, done properly.
01
Your personalized path
Answer a few questions once. The app lays out the steps for your residency type, your basis and your consulate, and nothing you don’t need.
02
Deadlines that actually bite
180 days to enter Mexico on your visa. 30 days to do the canje. Your renewal window. Your days outside the country. The app counts them and warns you before they close.
03
Your checklist, stage by stage
Every step and document for your path, to tick off stage by stage. Mark which originals and copies you already have in hand: the INM asks for the originals plus physical copies.

Questions
About the app.
What is Mexico Ready: Residency?
An iPhone app for getting and keeping Mexican residency. It works out your path from your answers, then tracks the deadlines that come with it and the checklist for that path, stage by stage. It is coming to iOS. The eligibility check, the calculator and the guides on this site are free now.
What will it cost?
It will be free to download. A one-time purchase unlocks your case: your full path tracked across every stage, deadline reminders and the trip log that counts your days outside Mexico.
Does it replace a gestor?
No. It makes one optional. Plenty of people do this on their own with a clear list and the dates in front of them.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your case, your checklist and your trip log stay on your device and in your own iCloud, the same promise Mexico Ready: Citizenship makes. Nothing about your case is sent to us.
Do I need to sign up to use the tools?
No. The eligibility check, the calculator and the guides are free and open. The email is only for the checklist and a note when the app ships.
What is the INM?
The INM, the Instituto Nacional de Migración, is Mexico’s immigration authority. It exchanges your visa for a resident card (the canje), renews temporary cards and handles the switch to permanent residency, at its offices in Mexico.
How long is a temporary resident card?
The first temporary card is issued for 1 year. After that, each renewal is for 1, 2 or 3 years, as you choose, up to 4 years of temporary residency in total. Then you can switch to permanent residency.
